Snakeman's TestimonyMe and my wife both came from a Catholic background. Guess I really got turned away from God when my father left my pregnant mother and she couln't afford to tithe and the church kicked us out. I was 5 at the time. Pappitalo's TestimonyI was born into a family that had God as a big part of it, but not the God I’ve come to know and love. The example I saw from my father was a God who was judgmental, legalistic, and condemning. Sure He loved me, but when I made a mistake, I believed He was going to be disappointed in me. I went to church because I had to, and never enjoyed any of it. I was mostly a good kid growing up aside from cussing and occasional drinking at parties.
xI REDEEMED Ix's TestimonyI am 34 years old, and have been married to my wife Christy for 11 years. We have 2 kids, Gabriella (9) and Tyler(5). I live in TX, I have lived in TX all my life, and plan on staying here for another life time. SaulBecomesPaul's TestimonyI grew up in the Catholic church. None of the traditions or requirements ever made sense to me. I never could comprehend confessing my sins to another person or the importance placed on Mary, etc. These things, among many, drove me away from wanting anything to do with God. |
